Bottle Cap Update!

Looking at the glass front pop machines at work, the Mountain Dew and diet Mountain Dew have arrived with the yellow caps for the iTunes Promotion, but the other Pepsi products have not. Got my first song cap at lunch! From reading the bottle, for each free song redemption you also are entered in the free iPod Mini giveaway. And they’ll be giving away one every hour! This is my best chance yet to get into an iPod. ***fingers crossed***

By the way, if anyone out there gets a cap with a free song code on it and doesn't plan on redeeming it---you could always send the code to me. Create your own little link in the Golden "pay it forward" Chain. Just email it to me. And Thanks in advance for your support. :-)

You know, I actually have been waiting for a discounted version of the iPod. The unfortunate thing with this product is it isn't playing by the rules. I have to wait for it to fall off the "super-cool, ultra-desirable" bandwagon. These things are holding their value like nothing I've ever seen before.

Just today on eBay I saw a 10 GB model (over a year old), USED!, from a seller with only 33 feedbacks selling for $180. I couldn't believe it.

Not to mention that Apple is not price protecting the vendors. Consequently, they tend to keep the stock very low so they don't get stuck with a bunch of iPods they have to loose money on when the next big thing comes out.

I think my best hope for getting into an iPod is the Shuffle. I like that little thing. Actually, I've been wishing someone would come out with something just like that for years. When I have been mowing the lawn in the summer I would wonder, "why can't someone just take a Flash drive and stick a play button on it so it'll just play all the music files it has stored?" And that's exactly what Apple did. I was very excited to see that, and that the capacity was going to be meaningful. I always felt a 64mb mp3 player would be useless for me.
