i am so with you on this. though i do have to get my tv fix via the net (i don't have cable either) i watch lost and ugly betty via http://dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/landing?lid=ABCCOMGlobalMenu&lpos=FEP

and then i watch battlestar gallactica via the scifi channels full episode viewer (not very sharp but it's free! :)
